Traditional product design tends to look at sound as an afterthought in the development process. So we decided to look for examples where sound is not only integral to the product but where it somehow defines the aesthetic and behavior of the design. You can no longer understand one without the other creating a deeper and more engaging solution.
Nick Cave’s SoundSuits, for example, are kind of a mix between the two things he’s always been passionate about: fashion and dancing. His different suits are not only visually stunning, but also make distinctive sounds when you move in them.






Well, after pretty much a year of work, the exhibition is finally up in Tokyo. Ignacio curated and designed this exhibition for the Spanish Institute of Commerce (ICEX) in collaboration with Mormedi design in Madrid to showcase the latest work of over 35 Spanish designers.
Paper, a simple but versatile material has recently been revaluated. Whereas in the past it was mostly a cheap option for disposable products or mock-ups it is now being widely used as a more refined material for the end product across different industries.
