Sonel Netbook

SONEL is a concept Netbook created by Lovely&Co for one of the leading fashion houses in Europe. Netbooks are small computers that are always connected to the internet and – at 250mm x 120mm – sit somewhere between a small laptop and a large Smart phone. The concept behind Sonel is to create a luxury Netbook that borrows more from the emotional values and craftsmanship of Haute Couture than from your average high-tech gadget.

While the Netbook is closed it is fully protected by the leather case but the ports are exposed for charging and using the headphones.

By closing the outer cover on top of the keypad, the Netbook can be used to watch movies without being visually disturbed by the keypad.

While the speaker grill is still exposed for great audio and video experience

Fully opening the covers exposes the large qwerty keypad providing great usability for writing emails and web browsing. The Netbook’s ‘brain’ is presented as a piece of precious metal wrapped in leather.

Resistive touch technology is embedded in the leather to create a fully integrated track-pad.
